1976 Boston Whaler Outrage 21. The boat has only ever been in freshwater and has not been in water of any kind for at least the last 14 years that I'm sure of but probably closer to 20. I've not done anything cosmetically but have done some of the mechanical things it needed from sitting and just age. In my honest opinion it is a few good solid weekends of work away from going back in the water where she belongs. First, the things I've done and the positives. The boat is very original. It rests on the same trailer it's been on since it was new, a 1976 Tee Nee galvanized in very good condition with tires that have less than 20 miles on them. Also has electric winch that I've not tested but comes with the plug/wiring. The Engine is a 200hp Johnson V6 and is the same that it was sold with and runs well. I did put a new power trim and tilt motor on last summer and it works great. I have run this engine for hours in my yard,it always starts and runs good and shifts as it should also. This engine according to the manual only weighs 379 pounds,that's a lightweight when compared to todays engines. Complete decal set's are available right here on ebay so the motor could be made to look as new with very little work. The throttle,shift and steering cables were all replaced with the best I could get. Also installed was a brand new steering gear box. Also installed was a brand new Morse MT3 shift/throttle controller. Funny how the amount of work and money to install all that can be put in a few short sentences. The seat upholstery for the RPS,the cooler seat and the fighting chair were all made brand new a few years ago and never used. The canvas helm cover and the bimini canvas were new then as well. The Boat and trailer are both in my name and registered right now so a simple matter of signing them over,no hassles there. I have a nice collection of paperwork also. All the manuals for the engines. For the boat- I have an original,as new 1976 Boston Whaler owners manual. I have an original,as new 1976 Boston whaler full line brochure with lots of nice color pictures of this boat. I have an original wood location diagram and something that may be kind of uncommon,an original factory shipping check list,pretty neat. The boat came with a 1990's 25hp trolling motor with all the hardware,gear and parts to connect them to steer together. I have never touched this engine but was told it ran great. It too,with the steering parts is included. What it needs. Bilge pump and horn wired to a switch,both tested and worked last summer. The lights will need to be gone through on the boat and trailer. I used harbor freight magnet lights to bring it home,will include them. The RPS needs to be finished, assembled and installed, I believe all the parts are there. Rear seat hinges are not bolted down but have them. I've only run the boat with a remote tank,hooking up the belly tank was next on my list. I pulled the sending unit a couple weeks ago and what I could see of the tank inside was shiny and nice. That is my opinion also. Just needs a line run and filler installed,about an hours work at most.
